Using the club app

Terms of Use

The rules for using the Éire Óg club app and website.

Version1.0
Effective23 October 2026
Next review17 March 2027

These terms apply to everyone who uses the Éire Óg Craigavon Gaelic Athletic Club app, on iPhone, Android or the web. By creating an account or using the app, you agree to them. They sit alongside the club’s Privacy Notice, the club constitution and the GAA’s rules and codes of conduct, which continue to apply.

Who can have an account

  • App accounts are for adults aged 18 or over: members, players, parents and guardians, coaches, volunteers and supporters.
  • Children under 18 do not have their own account. A parent or guardian adds their child to their own account and asks for the child to be connected to a team. A team manager or coach approves that request.
  • Profile photos are for adult accounts only. A profile photo must show only you, never a child.
  • Use your real name and keep your contact details up to date. Each account is for one person; do not share your sign-in with anyone.

What the app is for

The app is for club business: team and club messages, fixtures, training, the Club Diary, polls, volunteer rotas, pitch bookings, shared club files and membership. Your role and teams decide what you can see. Access is checked every time you use the app and ends when a role or team connection ends.

Acceptable use of messages

Everything you post in the app is seen by other club members, including parents, coaches and club officers. When you post, you must:

  • Be respectful. No abuse, bullying, harassment, threats, hate speech, or offensive or sexual content.
  • Keep to club business, and keep team groups about that team.
  • Never post a child’s personal details, private contact details, or photos of children other than your own.
  • Only share photos and files you have the right to share, and only where the people shown are happy for you to do so.
  • Not post advertising, spam, chain messages or anything unlawful.
  • Not post sensitive safeguarding, medical or personal matters in groups. Raise those privately with the right club officer.
  • Not try to access information, groups or accounts you are not entitled to, or interfere with how the app works.

Children and safeguarding

Coaches and volunteers must follow the GAA Code of Behaviour (Underage) at all times. Adults must not use the app to contact children directly; communication about underage teams goes through the parent or guardian and the team’s group. If you are worried about a child’s safety or wellbeing, contact the club Children’s Officer or Designated Liaison Person straight away. If a child is in immediate danger, call 999.

Reporting a problem

You can report any message from its Options menu and choose a reason. You can also block a sender so you no longer see their messages. Reports go to the club’s Technical Administrators, who review them. Reporting a message does not tell the sender who reported it.

If someone breaks these rules

Depending on how serious it is, the club may:

  • remove the message or file;
  • give a warning;
  • remove a role, a team connection or access to a group;
  • suspend or close the app account;
  • refer the matter to the club Executive, the Children’s Officer, the GAA, or the police where the law requires it.

Breaking these terms may also be dealt with under the club constitution and GAA disciplinary rules. Where possible, the club will tell you what happened and give you a chance to respond.

Your content

You remain responsible for what you post. By posting, you allow the club to show it to the people in that group or area of the app and to keep it in line with the Privacy Notice. You can delete your own messages for everyone, and you can delete your app account at any time from Profile & Settings.

Availability

The app is run by volunteers and provided as it is. The club works to keep it secure and available but cannot promise it will always work or be error free. Fixtures, pitch times and other information may change; the club’s official notices take priority. Phone alerts depend on your device and may be delayed.

Changes to these terms

The club may update these terms. If the changes are significant, we will tell members through the app or another club channel. Continuing to use the app after a change means you accept the updated terms.
